Summertime.
Growing up I remembered long summer days. And warm summer nights. Everything seemed to slow down. We would stay in our pajamas until noon (or sleep until noon).
But I remembered a slower pace of life.
Now that I’m an adult I’ve come to realize that it must only be that way for kids. Adults still have to work, still have to find activities to keep those kids busy during the “long” summer days, still have to do laundry, cook dinner, and do “life”. But for a moment, we can still slow down. Still breath in the warm summer air and stare into the face of a brand new baby and pause for a moment. I know that’s what this beautiful gal’s mama is doing right now.
And that’s exactly what she’s meant to do. Just that.
