…this sweet little peanut was just a 5 day old newborn that modeled for one of my mentor me, baby! sessions. Judging by the fact that it’s taken me over a month to get her beautiful images on the blog it can only mean one thing–it’s busy season around here. If the virtual pile of amazing sessions to edit wasn’t the first clue, my crazy bloodshot eyes might be the other. I like to think that God gives me these little thorns in my flesh to keep me focused and balanced. I tend to work myself into the ground and last year at this time I had an extreme eye twitch. For an entire month. I got so frustrated with everyone thinking that I was winking at them that I finally visited the doctor only to find out that 1) I wasn’t getting enough sleep, 2) I was spending to much time squinting while looking through my camera, and 3) I needed to limit my time editing in front of the computer screen.
Um, can I get my copay back please?
So this year I promised myself and my family to take on a more balanced approach to the busy holiday season. And so far it’s been great–minus the fact that by the end of every night I look like I have a bad case of pink eye. Luckily all of these little eye problems are temporary and merely minor annoyances, but I guess it is good in a way to have something set limits for you–especially when it’s apparent you can’t be trusted to do it yourself.
Over the next few weeks I’ll be posting all the beautiful babies that I haven’t had the opportunity to blog yet. There have been some amazing little lives that have come into the studio and if this is what I’ve been so busy with, then I think it’s the best kind of busy out there, don’t you?
